How to reset custom “Download” mode from OPERA

By default, Opera Browser saves all downloaded files in the same location — a dedicated “Downloads” folder. The problem is, this isn’t always practical for all types of downloads. The good news is that you can easily tweak this setting.

While there aren’t many options for what you can do with downloaded files, there are a few options available. Y can change the default download location or have the Opera Browser ask where to save individual files.

The best part here is that both settings are found in the same place, which makes it easy to change or edit them as you see fit. So with that, let’s find out.

First, click the three dots in the upper-right corner to open the Opera Browser menu, then select “Settings.”
Then scroll to the bottom and select “Show advanced settings”.
Finally, scroll about three-quarters of the way down this menu, until you see the “Downloads” section.
This is where you will find all the options available to tweak your download settings. If you want to change the default download location, just click the “Change” button and choose a new location.
If you want to choose where each file is downloaded individually—that’s my preferred setup—just tick the “Ask where to save each file before downloading” box. Boom, bam, done.
Despite their extremely simple nature, these settings are important for a good download experience in the Opera Browser. And if you’ve ever accidentally told the Opera Browser to save all your files to the same location, now you know where to find this option to change it back.
